Swiss Cross pillows, blankets, coffee mugs, and more are rising in popularity. I too am guilty of bringing those items into my decor, but have you wondered why they are so popular? Here is a picture of how I am using them, and I'll also share with you some of my favorite Swiss Cross finds as well!

Scandinavian design came about in the 20th century, and is very popular today in America. You might know it better as the "minimalist" look that so many are into now. The characteristics of this design are light neutral colors, open space with a lot of light, wood furniture and wood accents, and even some muted dark hues as accents that are reminiscent of the Nordic landscape. The Swiss Cross pattern fits perfectly into these attributes. It has clean lines, typically neutral in color usually black and cream, and its very simplistic in style.

I found some really neat Swiss Cross items that I wanted to share with you, and even a couple that are not in the traditional neutral colors that you usually see. I also listed the sizes of the pillows because it is important to have varying sizes for your decor if you are placing them all together to really make a statement. I hope that you will like them as much as I do, and maybe even add them into your home decor as well.

Check out these items below! Click on the picture to shop!

This one is one of my favorites! It is a wool blend which makes the quality top notch.

20" x 20".

Love this next one as a lumbar pillow! It actually comes in a variety of sizes, but for me it's the lumbar, 12" x 24" that got my attention.

I love the fact that this one is a muted mustard color, definitely not something you see very often! It's so cute! This is the biggest one at 22" x 22".

And then there is the soft, fuzzy, warm sherpa blanket. Spring is almost here, but that doesn't mean that there won't be cool evenings when you still need to bundle up!

I definitely scored with this find! It's not real big, only measuring about 12" in height, but it is super neat! I think it would be cute to use it in a bathroom with first aid supplies in it, or maybe just completely for decor purposes with some greenery in it.

This 20" x 20" is very clean and neutral with the off-white, tan background and the black cross. Very classic!

This 18" x 18" is a great size to make a statement in a room on a chair or in a basket. I love the varied sizes that there are to choose from here from my farmhouse finds.

Here is the original look of the Swiss Cross when used as the flag for Switzerland. You may also recognize it from your local Red Cross chapter in your area. Yep, that too, the Red Cross was drawn up during the Geneva conference in 1864 to provide impartial medical services to wounded soldiers on the battlefield.

Last, but not least, a thin wool blanket resembling the ones issued by the Army in times past. It would be so cute as a throw on a chair or couch and it would add a different texture and look to your Swiss Cross collections.
