Lighting

After the house was dried in, meaning it had a roof, windows, and doors to keep the inside dry, the next big step was walking through with the electrician and discussing lighting choices, placement, and outlets. I won't bore you with outlets other than to say that now its a must to choose outlets that have USB ports in them. This will keep your family and guests very happy by keeping all their latest electronic devices charged up and ready to go. Any who.... on to lighting!
Of course I wanted everything to have a farmhouse look, and maybe even a little industrial and vintage flair to it as well. I can't tell you the hours I spent searching for just the right fixtures. I knew what I wanted, and I wasn't going to settle for anything less, so the search was on! For me, its all in the details. Pictured below are many of the lights that I chose. The milk glass with the brown & black zig zag cloth covered wire with a finish of antique brass to hang above the master tub, the brushed antique caged sconces for the jack and jill bathroom, or the distressed black hanging lights for over the kitchen island, every fixture had a purpose for every room in the house. Whether it was to give the room rustic vibes, or to add some vintage flair, every fixture chosen had certain intentions.
Below, you can see many of the light fixtures that I chose for the house. Most of them I have linked to the place from where I purchased them. Just click on the pictures to shop each fixture. Soon I plan to add pictures of the lighting in the house, so you can see how it looks overall in each room and where I used the fixtures at. I hope you like what I picked out, and maybe my picks will inspire you too! #affiliate
